Days of the week don't exist and we should abolish them

Time on this planet flows smoothly in alternating light and dark periods. There is nothing separating one light period from the next. If you step outside on a given day and encounter no people, calendars, or newspapers, there will be no information for you to determine which day of the week it is. Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, Thursday — they are all the same. The light looks no different. The order of working on weekdays and relaxing on weekends is a human imposition on the inhuman universe, which is determined solely by the physics of photons and large rocks. Now, we walk outside and families are clustered together in the park in the sun. It could be any day. If we simply removed the concept of distinct days of the week from our lives it would just be one less thing to remember. And who doesn't want that? It is always today.
